Given the great success of the "Frozen berry treats" recipe .. how about a slightly more bubbly variant?
Blueberries are low in calories and contain high amounts of vitamin C, fiber, and phytochemicals (chemical compounds found naturally in plants).
Blueberries are also full of antioxidants and have been shown to improve animal health.
The ideal are fresh or frozen blueberries, better to avoid candied ones because they contain a high amount of sugar. As with all types of fruit, make sure you don't overdo the doses.
Before using blueberries be sure to wash them well to remove any pesticides or dirt.
In any case, when you introduce something new to the dog's diet, it gradually begins to see how it reacts.
TIME: 5 minutes for the recipe and at least 5 hours in the freezer.
INGREDIENTS (for about 8 frozen treats)
60 ml (1/4 cup) - lactose-free (or vegetable) milk
80 gr (1/3 cup) - plain yogurt (you can choose between yogurt: lactose-free, low-fat, vegetable, Greek)
10 ml (2 tsp) - honey
30 gr (1/4 cup)- blueberries
powdered ginger as required
METHOD
Wash the blueberries well and put them in the blender.
Add in the blender: milk, yogurt and honey.
Blend for a minute or until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Sprinkle a small amount of powdered ginger into the molds (I used the paw-shaped silicone ones).
Pour everything into the molds.
Put them to freeze for at least 5 hours and they will be ready to be enjoyed!
STORAGE
They keep well in the freezer for more than a month.
