Today I'm going to tell you about something different. For a few months I have had the opportunity to meet a fantastic shop - Soopa Pets - which produces and sells products that are also suitable for sensitive dogs and those with allergies. It all started in 2013 from Barbara's love for her dog Lily and from the desire to
"offer dog owners a super healthy treat they could give to their dog guilt free that was low calorie, nutritious and also delicious"
But do you know what their strengths are? the products are 100% natural, made from superfood ingredients & produced to human grade standard!
Hiro also got to try them and I can say in his name that he loves them!
Now I'll tell you briefly:
Soopa Dental Sticks are a grain-free hypoallergenic treatment for the dog who loves to chew. Made with 100% human quality natural ingredients, they help keep teeth clean and improve dog's breath. Rich in vitamins, minerals and health benefits.

Banana and Peanut butter - peanut butter contains healthy fats and vitamin E which helps keep your dog's coat healthy and glowing. Coconut oil is an MCT-rich superfood that helps boost your dog's brain power, while bananas are a good source of vitamins and fiber to keep your dog happy and healthy.
Cranberry and Sweet potato - Cranberry is rich in antioxidants, fiber and vitamin C. Flaxseed is a sensational super food for dogs and can protect against digestive problems.
Hiro loves them especially because they keep him busy for several minutes!
(Natural ingredients, vegan, low fat, human grade, safe and easy to digest, supports oral health).
They are grain free, hypoallergenic and suitable for training!

Kale and Apple - Kale is known as the "Queen of the Greens" for its anti-cancer and immune-boosting properties.
Kale is also a nutritional powerhouse for your dog rich in antioxidants, iron, calcium and important vitamins. Kelp is one of the most nutritious foods on the planet and is great for supporting your dog's skin, coat, nails and teeth, helping keep him healthy and happy.
I always carry them with me, they are pocket-sized and excellent to use as a reward during training or on a walk.
(Low fat, human grade, safe & easy to digest, supports oral health, natural ingredients, made in Ireland)
But now we come to the protagonist of this recipe, or COCONUT TREATS!
This is part of the line CHEWS, along with sweet potatoes and papaya.
I had already talked about coconut in previous recipes, but on their site they report really interesting information!

Did you know coconut is good for weight loss and a great detox aid for your dog? Coconut meat contains medium chained triglycerides, metabolised in a different manner to other triglycerides. This fat is used as a source of energy transported directly to the liver rather than being stored as fat. Therefore MCTs in coconut can actually help stimulate your body's metabolism, leading to weight loss and management of weight. Coconut is also known for its detoxifying effects on the body.
This is great!
I remind you that in the package there is a recommended daily dose based on the size of your dog, so to obtain benefits it is best not to exceed the doses. In addition, on their site you will find a very useful table that indicates who the various products are most suitable for (in terms of pathologies).
Thanks to Soopa Pets for the collaboration and you can also find it on instagram @soopapets
Let's get to the RECIPE!

200 gr (2 small or 1 big) - zucchini
15 ml (1 tbsp) - linseed oil
40 gr (1/2 package) - coconut treats (chews) by Soopa Pets
300 gr (2 and 2/4 cup) - oat flour
15 gr (1 tbsp) - honey
10 ml (2 tsp) - coconut oil
20 ml (2 tsp) - water
PROCEDURE
Wash the zucchini, remove the ends, cut them into rings. Add them in a mixer together with the oil and 20 ml of water, blend until you get a cream.
Rehydrate the coconut strips by placing them in a bowl with water for about 10 minutes, then put them in the mixer and add some water, just to make a cream more easily.
In a bowl add the flour, honey, courgettes and pureed coconut, finally the coconut oil (already melted).
Mix everything until you get a compact and soft dough.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 1 cm, then cut the dough with a mold (I used a 2x2 cm circle-shaped one).
Bake in a preheated static oven at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.
CONSERVATION
They can be kept for about 3 weeks in an airtight container.
Here is a short video with all the steps:
and as always, Hiro approves!
