Frozen sweet potato treats

Sweet potatoes are starchy vegetables that provide many nutritional benefits to our animals. They are one of the best dietary sources of manganese, vitamin B6 and vitamin A, which help maintain healthy skin, coat, eyes, nerves and muscles in your dog.

Vegetables with orange pulp contain beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A and a powerful antioxidant.

The sweet potato is also a rich source of fiber, vitamin C and potassium. By using sweet potatoes in addition to your dog's food, you will boost his immune system keeping it healthy and lively.

Sweet potatoes are good for the dog, but always remember that, like any other food, it should be consumed in moderation.

TIMES: 10 minutes to cook the sweet potatoes, 5 for the recipe, at least 3 hours to freeze.

INGREDIENTS

350 gr (1 and 1/2 cup) - sweet potato cream

25 gr (1 and 1/2 tbsp) - homemade peanut butter

50 ml (4 tbsp) - lactose-free milk

50 ml (4 tbsp) - water

TOOLS

- Mixer

- Molds suitable for the freezer (I used paw-shaped molds - one paw is 5x5cm)

PROCEDURE

Sweet potato cream

1. Peel the sweet potatoes.

2. Cut them into pieces.

3. Steam them (I used the microwave for about 8 minutes).

4. Let them cool.

5. Then pour them into the mixer and blend until creamy.

Frozen treats

1. In a bowl add the potato cream and peanut butter and mix.

2. Then add the milk and mix.

3. At the end add the water and mix until you get a smooth cream.

4. Put the cream in the silicone mold.

5. Once filled, put the mold in the freezer for at least 3 hours.

CONSERVATION

It can be stored in the freezer for just over a month.
