The simplest things are also the best ones, right? well this recipe couldn't get any easier than that, just two ingredients and lots of goodness. But what is the star of this recipe? you got it - it's papaya! Little known tropical fruit (in fact I had never eaten it until a few days ago), it is similar to melon but slightly sweeter, it is also rich in benefits: source of water, fiber, potassium, calcium, folic acid and vitamin A, C , E and K. Papaya is also known for digestive enzymes, in fact it contains papain, an enzyme that supports the digestion of proteins.
TIME: 5 minutes for the recipe and 3/4 hours in the freezer.
INGREDIENTS (for about 8 frozen sweets)
120 gr (3/4 cup) - papaya
80 ml (1/3 cup) - water
PREPARATION
First, peel the papaya, eliminating the peel and seeds. Then cut it into small pieces.
Place the papaya pieces in the blender and add the water.
Blend well for about a minute.
Pour everything into molds (I used the silicone ones for ice) and freeze for about 3/4 hours.
STORAGE
Frozen sweets keep well even for a month in the freezer.
Here is a short video with all the steps:
And as always - Hiro approves (even though he was distracted by the neighbors in the garden haha)
